Julian, a 50-year-old divorcee with money problems, uses a car-sharing app to travel to Madrid. Mr. Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra. It’s a good idea, not original but not that bad either. The film starts off well but then goes from one unrealistic situation to another. Predictable and, most of the time, boring. Those who have seen “The Day of the Beast” by the same director will be very disappointed. It’s not funny at all. The situations are unrealistic, but not in the funny and classic way of the previously mentioned film. On the contrary, everything is predictable and the gags continue endlessly, without any kind of planning. The lack of preparation and care in this product is so obvious. If you want to watch a Spanish movie, with a story of shared cars, try “Dime dónde viajas”. It’s not a great movie but at least the story is more compelling and the main character more interesting. Also there is a bit of mystery that hides and some references to songs and Spanish popular culture. In this product, on the contrary, you can’t find any of that, bed scenes, love scenes, action scenes are mediocre. I give it a 5 because it is watchable but, 1 hour and 35 minutes seem to last an eternity, only an hour is enough to tell this story that leads nowhere.
